The false atomization test method 1: use a volatile solvent (thinner) to test the spray gun.

The volatile solvent has a low boiling point. After being atomized by the spray gun, a part of it has volatilized, and there is not much solvent sprayed on the spray test paper at the end, so the test result cannot be accurately obtained; and the thin material is seen in the atomization process. Rather erratic and unstable.

Correct method: spray directly with paint.

Affected by air flow, viewing angle and light, it is actually impossible to visually see whether the atomization effect of the spray gun is normal by direct observation with the naked eye.

Correct method: The spray gun should be aimed at the spray pattern test paper during the test, and then the atomization effect should be judged by the shape of the spray pattern.

The false atomization test method 3: Test the gun with an incorrect spray pressure.

High spraying air pressure causes the spray pattern to be deformed. The tested spray pattern is in the shape of "8", with large ends of the spray pattern and small middle;

Correct method: Adjust the spray gun according to the parameters recommended by the Sata spray gun box during the test, and perform the atomization test under the recommended air pressure and distance.

The false atomization test method 4: Test the Spray Pattern with Water

The viscosity of water (about 11 seconds/DIN4) is lower than that of the paint. Using normal spray air pressure test, it will appear that the ends of the spray pattern are large and the middle is small.

Correct method: It is best to test directly with paint. If the conditions only allow water to test the spray pattern, please reduce the spray pressure to half of the recommended spray pressure.

Correct and complete test method of atomization effect:

1. Adjust the spray pressure and distance according to the parameters recommended at the bottom of the automatic spray gun packaging box.

2. Adjust the paint output and spray width of the spray gun to the maximum, the spray gun and the spray width test paper are at a 90° angle, and the trigger is pulled to the bottom for about 2 seconds.

3. Check whether the shape of the spray pattern sprayed on the test paper is normal.
