As a commonly used spraying tool, the auto spray gun will encounter various failures during daily use. There are lots of friends who say that auto spray guns are not working well. Next, let's talk about common spray width defects of the auto spray guns and the corresponding solutions.
1. Spray width defects: Spray width deformation
Reasons: The air holes (fan-shaped holes or auxiliary atomization holes) on the nozzle button are blocked by the dry paint, so that the abnormal airflow deforms the spray width; Incorrect air inlet pressure (too high/too low) causes the spray width to disconnect or be too small.
Solutions: Clean the air holes on the spray gun and nozzle button according to the cleaning instructions; Adjust the air inlet pressure of the spray gun to normal air pressure.
2. The spray width defect: The spray width is narrow in the center and large at both ends
Reasons: The viscosity of paint is too low and does not match the spraying air pressure; The spraying air pressure is too high and the fan-shaped hole air pressure is too high, so that the center of the spray width is sunken; The atomization hole is blocked, and the blockage of the atomization air hole causes a relatively large amount of air to run to the fan-shaped hole, which makes the center of the spray width sunken.
Solutions: Adjust the viscosity of paint or switch to a nozzle with a suitable caliber; Adjust the normal air inlet pressure of the auto spray gun; Use a suitable cleaning tool to clean the air hole of the nozzle button, and replace the nozzle set if necessary.
3. The spray width defect: The paint gathers in the center and the spray width cannot be dispersed
Reasons: The spraying air pressure is too low, and the fan-shaped hole air pressure is too low to press out the fan surface; The viscosity of paint is too high, and the fan-shaped hole air pressure is not strong enough to press the high-viscosity paint into a fan surface; The nozzle is damaged and the spray width adjustment knob is not turned on.
Solutions: Adjust the normal air inlet pressure; Adjust the viscosity of paint, or switch to a nozzle with a suitable caliber. If the nozzle is damaged, replace the nozzle set; Check whether the spray width adjustment knob is fully opened.
4. The spray width defect: The spray width is bent in a banana shape
Reasons: One of the fan-shaped holes is blocked or deformed, and the air pressure of the fan-shaped holes on both sides is inconsistent; The blockage of the atomization hole causes the air to run to the fan-shaped holes, which causes the air pressure of one of the fan-shaped holes to increase.
Solutions: Use a special cleaning kit to clean the nozzle button of the auto spray gun, and replace the spray gun nozzle kit if necessary.
5. The spray width defect: The wet area in the spray width inclines to one side
Reasons: The fan-shaped hole or the atomization hole is blocked or deformed, and the atomized paint tends to one side due to the uneven air flow; The nozzle is damaged, and the gap between the atomization hole in the center of the nozzle button and the nozzle is uneven, which makes the atomized paint tend to be in one side.
Solutions: Use a special cleaning kit to clean the nozzle button, and replace the nozzle kit if necessary.
6. The spray width defect: The spray width is twisted and inclined or formed into an S shape
Reasons: The fan-shaped holes are blocked or deformed, and the diagonal fan-shaped holes on both sides are blocked or deformed so that the spray width is inclined.
Solutions: Use a special cleaning kit to clean the nozzle button, and replace the nozzle kit if necessary.
7. The spray width defect: The spray width is not continuous, which is in the form of jumping
Reason: The nozzle the auto paint spray gun is not tightly installed, the nozzle and the air diverter ring are not completely sealed, and the air rushed to the pain passage; The nozzle or the air diverter ring is not clean, and the paint residue prevents the nozzle and the air diverter ring from being completely sealed; The sealing surface of air diverter ring affects its sealing with the nozzle; The vent of the gun pot is blocked to create a vacuum to draw air from the nozzle into the paint passage.
Solutions: Tighten the nozzle with an original wrench, clean the nozzle with a special cleaning kit, and replace the air diverter ring. Clean the vent of the gun pot and replace the gun pot if necessary.
